About Kristin

Kristin Searcy is a Senior Vice President at Alliant Insurance Services, where she serves as a Workforce Strategy Advisor focused on transforming how organizations design, communicate, and activate employee benefits and wellness strategies. With more than two decades of experience in the insurance and employee benefits industry since 2002, she has built a career centered on helping employers move beyond traditional, compliance-driven approaches toward more human-centered, outcome-based workforce solutions. Known for her ability to connect strategy with employee engagement, she works with organizations to improve how benefits are understood and utilized, ultimately supporting healthier, more productive workplaces.

In addition to her corporate leadership role, Kristin is the founder of Bloom Forward, a women-centered community dedicated to empowering women through professional development, holistic wellness, and personal transformation. Through this platform, she addresses topics such as perimenopause and menopause support, hormone and gut health, fitness, mindfulness, and emotional resilience, bringing together experts and lived experiences to help women navigate midlife transitions with clarity and confidence. She is also a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and an advanced meditation student, integrating physical, mental, and spiritual wellness into both her personal philosophy and professional work.

Beyond her professional and entrepreneurial pursuits, Kristin is deeply engaged in lifelong learning, community involvement, and advocacy. She is active in initiatives supporting employee wellbeing innovation, alcohol-free workplace conversations, and more inclusive relationship-building in business environments. She also contributes to charitable and community organizations, including the YMCA and causes supporting individuals with Down syndrome and autism. Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kristin

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being relentless and authentic in how I show up. What you see is what you get with me, and I genuinely care about the people I work with. Although my role is in insurance and sales, I don’t approach it purely from a transactional perspective. I see myself as someone who is here to help and serve others. If I can provide value, I’m committed to doing so, and if I’m not the right fit, I make it a priority to connect people with someone who can better meet their needs.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that if I’m not upsetting someone or not everyone likes me, then I’m likely standing in my truth. A former boss once told me that I don’t need to be everyone’s cup of tea, and that mindset was incredibly liberating because it freed me from constantly seeking approval or validation. In a sales environment especially, it’s easy to want everyone to accept you, but I’ve learned that my worth isn’t tied to universal approval. Instead, I give myself permission to be authentic and focus on building relationships with people who align with my values and where there is mutual trust and understanding.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to focus on being your authentic self, because that’s what builds the strongest and most meaningful relationships. In sales, it’s easy to get caught up in metrics and traditional approaches, but I’ve found more success by connecting through shared interests, purpose, and genuine relationships beyond just transactions. I also believe in intentionally designing your life across all areas—career, health, relationships, and finances—so you’re not just chasing goals, but aligning your work with your deeper purpose. When you operate from that place of authenticity and intention, success becomes a natural byproduct, along with greater joy and fulfillment.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field right now is the complexity and inefficiencies within the healthcare system, which often leave gaps in access, clarity, and affordability for the people we serve. At times, I see a tendency for organizations to accept the status quo rather than actively challenge it or look ahead to where the system needs to evolve. I believe there is a real opportunity for professionals who are willing to think differently, push for meaningful change, and advocate for more effective, people-centered solutions—and I’m not afraid to be part of that disruption.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important value in my work and personal life is doing the right thing and having integrity in everything I do, so I can end each day with peace of mind knowing I gave my best. I also believe in continuous, incremental growth—just striving to be 1% better each day instead of expecting massive overnight change. Over time, those small, consistent improvements add up in a meaningful way, even when life gets in the way.
