Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kristina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to an innate sense of curiosity, a relentless thirst for knowledge, and a deep desire to understand the world around me. Coupled with resilience and determination, these qualities have empowered me to embrace challenges, learn from adversity, and continually strive for excellence. I also credit my mother, who instilled in me the value of hard work and the principle of always leaving things better than I found them. Her guidance sparked a lifelong quest for continuous improvement, which is a mindset that shapes everything I do.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was: “Never let them see you cry. Hold your head up, remain professional, and stand your ground.” There were countless moments when I felt like giving up, but those words reminded me to stay composed, keep my dignity, and push forward. That advice taught me resilience and the importance of maintaining professionalism even in the toughest situations.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to lead with collaboration and kindness. While progress has been made, challenges remain, and one of the most powerful ways we can overcome them is by supporting one another. Instead of competing, lift one another up. Celebrate each other’s successes, share knowledge, and create opportunities for growth. True leadership is not about who gets ahead first, but about ensuring we all rise together.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Supply Chain has evolved dramatically, especially since the pandemic. Balancing supply availability, quality, and cost is more complex than ever. This is the most challenging environment I’ve seen in my entire career. Globalization, once a driver of efficiency and opportunity, now introduces significant risk. Political instability, trade restrictions, and shifting regulations can disrupt supply lines overnight, forcing organizations to rethink sourcing strategies and build resilience into their networks. Technology, while offering incredible potential, also creates uncertainty. The pace of innovation is exponential, and companies struggle to determine which tools to adopt, how to mitigate cybersecurity and compliance risks, and how to integrate emerging technologies like AI in a responsible manner. AI brings both promise and complexity, requiring organizations to navigate ethical considerations, data governance, and workforce adaptation while leveraging its power for predictive analytics and automation. The opportunity lies in agility and foresight. Companies that thoughtfully embrace digital transformation, diversify their supply base, and invest in ethical, human-centered systems will not only survive but also thrive in this new era.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my work, I lead with authenticity and integrity. I believe leadership is about lifting others up and creating opportunities for success—especially for those who might otherwise be overlooked. Nothing brings me greater satisfaction than seeing others thrive and knowing I played a part in their journey.

In my personal life, I live by the Golden Rule: treat others as you would want to be treated. I strive to show kindness, offer help where I can, and approach every interaction with empathy and respect. These values guide not only how I lead but how I live.
