Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kristina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being part of a phenomenal, mission-driven team and having the opportunity to give back to my community. Being surrounded by people who are deeply committed to the mission has helped me grow professionally while allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the people and communities we serve.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to carve my own path. That advice has encouraged me to define my own professional journey, recognize the value of my experiences, and pursue opportunities in a way that is authentic to who I am and the impact I want to make.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to keep your head up and remember that you deserve a place at the table. You have earned that place through your experiences, abilities, and dedication. Believe in your value and do not allow doubt or external expectations to diminish your sense of belonging.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I see significant opportunities in the social services field because it is a growing area that continually needs dedicated professionals. At the same time, there are challenges, particularly from an administrative and leadership standpoint, where the field can be very male-driven. Creating greater opportunities for women to move into leadership and executive roles remains an important challenge and opportunity.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me are honesty, hard work, dedication, and integrity. I strive to bring these values into both my professional responsibilities and my personal life, particularly in how I serve others, lead teams, and contribute to my community.
