Her Story
About Kristina
Kristina Loftis is a healthcare professional, entrepreneur, and clinical operations leader based in Foley, Alabama, with more than 20 years of nursing experience and over five years of experience leading specialized care management operations. As the Founder and Director of Operations of Partners in Care, LLC, she provides clinical support and remote care management solutions to medical practices and healthcare providers. Her professional journey began as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where a nurse named Barb encouraged her to pursue nursing after recognizing her compassion and communication skills. Motivated by this encouragement and her experiences as a mother of three premature children, Kristina pursued nursing education at a vocational school and subsequently earned an advanced degree in Healthcare Management. She spent approximately 15 years working in hospice care, Alzheimer's care, home health, and pediatric private duty nursing before transitioning into healthcare operations and entrepreneurship.
Through Partners in Care, LLC, Kristina helps medical practices extend patient care beyond traditional office visits while reducing administrative demands on in-house clinical teams. The company offers turnkey support for Chronic Care Management (CCM), Principal Care Management (PCM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Transitional Care Management (TCM), and Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM). Its services include patient outreach, care coordination, patient onboarding, remote monitoring device logistics, clinical documentation, and billing support. Kristina emphasizes proactive, patient-centered care, recognizing that consistent education, regular follow-ups, and early identification of changes in a patient's condition can help prevent complications and unnecessary hospital visits. Drawing on her extensive clinical background and operational expertise, she works to bridge gaps between healthcare providers and patients, particularly older adults and Medicare beneficiaries who may require ongoing support managing chronic conditions.
Kristina's career reflects perseverance, compassionate leadership, and a commitment to honesty and integrity. Balancing motherhood, education, professional responsibilities, and personal adversity helped shape her determination to build a meaningful career in healthcare. She considers founding her own nursing company one of her proudest accomplishments and encourages young women to enter healthcare because they genuinely want to help others, rather than focusing solely on financial rewards. She also believes in embracing new challenges, continuing to learn, and developing the resilience needed to grow professionally. Outside work, Kristina enjoys puzzles, historical mysteries, World War II-related codes, and playing chess against artificial intelligence. Through her leadership at Partners in Care, LLC, she continues to apply her clinical knowledge and business experience toward improving patient engagement, supporting healthcare providers, and promoting more consistent care between medical appointments.

Ten minutes with Kristina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance, determination, continuous learning, and a genuine passion for helping others. Balancing motherhood, education, and professional responsibilities taught me the importance of making sacrifices, adapting to challenges, and remaining committed to my goals. The encouragement I received from a nurse named Barb also played an important role in my journey, inspiring me to pursue nursing and recognize my potential. My experiences in direct patient care, healthcare management, and entrepreneurship have strengthened my resilience and reinforced my commitment to honesty, integrity, and compassionate service. These values continue to guide my leadership at Partners in Care, LLC, where I strive to improve care coordination and help healthcare providers deliver better patient outcomes.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When I was working as a nurse's aide, a nurse named Barb continually encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and return to school to become a nurse. She recognized my compassion and ability to communicate with people and reminded me that, as my children grew and entered school, I would have an opportunity to focus more on my own aspirations. She encouraged me to consider what I wanted to accomplish with my life rather than limiting myself to my current circumstances. Her advice helped me break out of a difficult cycle, recognize my potential, and pursue nursing, which became one of the best decisions I have ever made.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering healthcare is to pursue this profession for the right reasons: because you genuinely care about people and want to help humanity survive and thrive, rather than focusing solely on financial rewards. Nursing can be personally rewarding because of the satisfaction that comes from helping others, saving lives, and making a meaningful difference in people's well-being.
I also encourage young women to pursue their ambitions, remain open to learning new skills, and embrace unfamiliar challenges. Never be afraid to try something new or step outside your comfort zone, because these experiences help build resilience, confidence, and personal growth. My own journey has taught me that professional success is possible even when balancing family responsibilities, educational goals, and unexpected obstacles.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in remote care management is building trust with patients who may assume that unfamiliar telephone calls are scams. This is particularly important when working with Medicare beneficiaries, who are frequently targeted by fraudulent activities. Establishing rapport requires patience, honest communication, and a genuine commitment to helping patients feel safe and confident in the services they receive.
Another important challenge is ensuring that patients receive adequate education and support between medical appointments. Limited appointment times and the administrative demands placed on clinical staff can make consistent follow-up difficult. Through Partners in Care, LLC, I work to address these gaps by helping healthcare practices implement care management programs that support patient outreach, ongoing monitoring, and care coordination without adding substantial administrative burdens to their teams.
I believe these challenges also present significant opportunities to improve preventive care, strengthen patient engagement, and identify potential complications earlier. By combining clinical oversight, remote monitoring technology, and proactive communication, we can help healthcare providers support better patient outcomes while improving operational efficiency.
I also believe women bring valuable strengths to healthcare leadership. Their resilience and ability to adapt to change can be significant assets in an evolving industry.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and integrity are the most important values in both my professional and personal life. I believe in being truthful, acting ethically, maintaining transparency, and treating others with respect. In healthcare, these values are especially important because patients and their families need to feel confident that their well-being is a genuine priority.
I strive to uphold these principles in my leadership, business decisions, professional relationships, and everyday interactions. At Partners in Care, LLC, I believe that building trust with healthcare providers and patients is fundamental to delivering dependable clinical support and establishing lasting professional relationships.
