Her journey from dance and hospitality into event production required resilience, relationship-building, and a willingness to learn on the job. She also credits her success to showing up consistently, navigating career transitions with openness, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

While Kristina did not name specific mentors, her career has been shaped by leaders and colleagues across hospitality, brand activation, and event production environments. Working within women-owned companies and creative teams has influenced her leadership style, work ethic, and approach to collaboration, providing models of resilience, innovation, and inclusive leadership.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be persistent in pursuing opportunities, but be intentional about pacing: prioritize self-care, recognize the signs of burnout, and know when to step back so you can continue to bring your best work forward.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Kristina identified burnout and sustainability as major challenges within the events and hospitality industries, given the high-pressure, fast-paced nature of production work. Long hours, tight timelines, and emotional labor can take a toll without intentional boundaries and support. At the same time, she sees strong opportunity in the continued evolution of experiential events, creative vendor collaborations, and community-driven showcases. The demand for immersive, meaningful experiences presents opportunities for producers to innovate while building healthier, more sustainable ways of working within the industry.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Kristina values creativity, collaboration, and balance. She places importance on maintaining healthy boundaries in a fast-paced, high-pressure industry and believes sustainable success requires self-care alongside professional ambition. She also values working in environments that prioritize respect, teamwork, and shared ownership of outcomes, particularly within women-owned and values-driven organizations.
