Her Story

About Kristina

Kristina Parise is a legal professional and Legal Offer Coordinator with nearly eight years of experience in the legal field, specializing in debt resolution, civil litigation, and settlements. Based in East Tennessee, she works across multiple states, managing cases from settlement through lawsuit dismissal. Her responsibilities include handling debt resolution settlements, coordinating with attorneys, approving settlement amounts for clients, and ensuring that cases progress efficiently through each stage of the legal process. Kristina began her professional journey with an interest in attending law school after earning her bachelor’s degree from Pace University in 2019. She subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration from South University while building her experience as a paralegal. Over the course of her career, she has served in paralegal and senior paralegal roles before advancing into legal operations and offer coordination. One of her notable professional achievements has been training approximately 60% of her organization’s current 40-person team, reflecting her ability to share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to the development of others. Driven by a desire to help people better understand and navigate their legal rights, Kristina plans to retake the LSAT and pursue law school, with the goal of becoming an attorney by 2027. She is also a South Carolina and Tennessee Notary Public and is affiliated with the NALA paralegal association. Outside of her professional pursuits, Kristina is committed to continuous learning and personal growth. She enjoys bodybuilding, reading, and going on adventures with her two rescued pit bulls, and she has challenged herself to read extensively, completing 52 books in a single year. Her professional and personal journey is grounded in honesty, empathy, perseverance, and a commitment to helping others.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kristina

01What do you attribute your success to?

Overcoming trauma in her teenage years and maintaining a positive mindset, with a tattoo reminding her "you can't stop me."

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Get a job in the industry you think you want to work in before deciding to pursue further education, to gain real experience rather than choosing based on popularity or money.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Go into every room with kindness, but never back down. Keep empathy and kindness intact as they are valuable assets that do not diminish professional competence.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Increasing use of AI to generate legal documents without proper review, and employers requiring paralegals to have law degrees without corresponding pay increases despite paralegals doing 70-90% of the work.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty with clients and colleagues, and giving yourself and others grace and understanding since mistakes happen and we are all still learning.
