Her Story

About Kristina

I have a business degree from Southeastern University in 2011 and hold certifications including as a marriage coach with ExoMarriage and as an ordained minister, plus training in AI and software. My calling is in military marriage ministry through Valor & Vowels, where we partner with about 20 organizations supporting military wives, veterans, and families. I was orphaned at birth, raised in the church, and learned that yielding to God brings help and success beyond my own efforts. Military spouse life taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to balance constant change.

Ten minutes with Kristina

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success is nothing but the grace of God. I was orphaned at birth and raised in the church. I learned in my early 20s what relationship with God looks like, and realized that without that foundation I could do things but was responsible for the outcome, but when I yielded I had help.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't wait until you feel ready. Growth happens by taking action. Be willing to learn, question, and embrace every single challenge. Your unique experiences are not obstacles; they are the very things that prepare you to make your greatest contribution.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Influence has nothing to do with your position. Influence comes from your ability to maintain humility. Be willing to solve problems that others won't. Lead with the mindset of a servant and always drive to create opportunities for people to become more than what they thought was possible.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The military spouse lifestyle brings constant change, uncertainty, and the need to balance a consistent pendulum. While uncertainty would have been my greatest obstacle, it has become one of my greatest tools, teaching resiliency, adaptability, flexibility, and creativity.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

God first, then husband, then son, and everything else follows. When my priorities line up that way I can look at myself in the mirror and say I had a good day.
