Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kristy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the purpose and drive I gained as a single mother working to provide for my children, paired with a relentless work ethic instilled in me by my father.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is that hard work genuinely pays off. I achieved success through absolute dedication and by taking ownership of my roles, treating every company as if it were my own rather than relying on connections.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to speak up, advocate for yourself, and fight for equality. In a male-dominated field like logistics, you cannot be afraid to push the envelope when necessary to advance your career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The primary challenge in logistics today is customer retention driven by severe pricing pressures, as clients frequently choose low-cost providers over high-quality, dependable service.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Hard work, self-reliance, and accountability are the core values that guide me, shaping a purpose-driven mindset centered around providing for my family and fully owning my responsibilities.
