Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kristy

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The solution that you thought of that worked yesterday isn't the one that's gonna work for the future. Be open, listen to other voices and perspectives, stay adaptable, and don't get too rigid or set in your own ways.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't undervalue yourself. Stand confidently in your wisdom and what you bring to the table. Fake it till you are it - tap into your inner strength, stand firm, and know that you've put the work in and have what it takes.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Mass cultural undervaluing of public work and public programs. The healthcare system has become incredibly complex, making it hard even for experts to navigate deductibles, referrals, and care access.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Kindness and compassion - treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself. Not judging people based on their experiences. Justice and fairness. Being mission-driven.
