Kristy Roberts
Kristy Roberts is a Compliance Specialist and Travel Advisor based in Justin, Texas, working from home in two roles she is passionate about. Her primary role is as a Compliance Support Specialist at DOT Compliance Group, where she has been for over six years. In this position, Kristy helps trucking companies achieve compliance with government regulations regarding DOT and MC numbers. She handles customer service, data entry, and works directly with the FMCSA to resolve issues for clients. Her expertise and efficiency have positioned her as a go-to resource within her department, assisting salespeople and managers with complex questions. Kristy’s dedication and performance have been recognized through the DCG President’s Club Award, which she earned for having the highest departmental numbers for three consecutive quarters, a milestone that included a cruise to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Honduras. What Kristy values most about her role is the confidence and mastery she has developed—she quickly learned the ins and outs of compliance and thrives on being knowledgeable and dependable in her work. Her ability to blend precision, problem-solving, and client-focused service has made her a key contributor to the team’s success. Alongside her compliance work, Kristy runs her own travel business, Travel with Kristy Roberts-Travelmation under the Travelmation agency, which she started in December. She is actively building her presence through social media marketing and developing skills in post creation and graphics management. With plans to launch a website, she is committed to growing this passion into a larger venture. Kristy’s combination of technical expertise, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrates her drive to excel in multiple fields while providing exceptional service to clients.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my husband, who is incredibly supportive, my DOT managers who believed in me and provided opportunities for growth, and my own determination to make something of myself. An ex-co-worker inspired me to start the travel advisor position under Travelmation. They are an amazing company.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to do what you love. When you enjoy going to work, it shows in your performance and your growth.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Working from home can make communication feel less personal, and dealing with angry customers can be difficult. However, both also present opportunities to improve communication, empathy, and conflict‑resolution skills. Launching my travel business and building a client base is my biggest challenge right now—but it’s also an exciting opportunity to grow, connect, and make a lasting impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I’m guided by integrity, respect, and perseverance in both my work and personal life. I believe in being genuine, showing up with a strong work ethic, and treating others with kindness and compassion. Family support, personal growth, and balance are deeply important to me, and they motivate me to continually push myself, learn, and strive to make a positive difference in everything I do.
