Her Story
About Kristy Lynne
Kristy Lynne Martin is the founder of KBK Ministry, a faith-based organization dedicated to encouraging and empowering women through Scripture. The ministry's name honors her three children—Kobe, Briana, and Keiana—and reflects the deeply personal roots of her calling. What started as a simple practice of writing handwritten notes of encouragement to women has since blossomed into a full-fledged ministry offering conferences, devotional content, and faith-centered gatherings, all aimed at helping women recognize their God-given purpose and find the courage to share their own stories.
Alongside her ministry work, Martin has built a career in education, most recently serving as a College & Career Teacher at Mclean High School. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on leadership from Murray State University and is presently working toward a master's degree. She is also an active participant in the Intercessor Prayer Team at Covenant Community Church, where her faith continues to be shaped through prayer and fellowship with other believers. In recognition of her impact, she was selected to be featured among Influential Women representing Madisonville, Kentucky for 2026.
Guided by prayer, perseverance, and an unwavering trust in divine timing, Martin credits her accomplishments to God's faithfulness and to the constant inspiration drawn from her children. Her work is anchored in values of integrity, loyalty, service, and a leadership style rooted in love, and she remains committed to speaking boldly from a God-centered perspective. Looking to the future, she hopes to reach a place of financial stability that allows her to transition into full-time ministry, publish devotional writings and a book, broaden KBK Ministry's reach through speaking engagements, and establish scholarships and outreach programs that provide meaningful support to women and families in her community.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kristy Lynne
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to God's guidance and faithfulness, along with the encouragement and inspiration I receive from my children. Obedience, prayer, perseverance, and trusting God's timing have been the driving forces behind my ministry's growth, and I credit much of it to steadfast leadership rooted in love and service. Above all, I attribute it to simply showing up — being present, available, and committed to encouraging others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've ever received is to remain faithful to God's calling and to trust His direction even when the path is uncertain, allowing Him to open the doors that are meant for me.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to stay rooted in the Bible, spend time journaling, and strengthen their relationship with God. Never let fear stop you from sharing your testimony, because your story can inspire and encourage someone else's breakthrough. I'd also tell them to get alone with Scripture daily — study the Word, journal your thoughts and questions, and let Scripture shape both your ministry and your voice.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest challenges I see is helping women overcome fear and self-doubt so they feel empowered to share their stories, believe in themselves, and step into leadership. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities to expand faith-based communities through conferences, speaking engagements, mentorship, and outreach programs. Looking ahead, I'm focused on growing the ministry, securing a physical space to welcome people, expanding conferences and outreach, and providing small scholarships and community assistance to help women live confidently in their purpose.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are faith, leadership, loyalty, overflowing love, integrity, and service, along with the courage to speak my mind from a God-centered perspective.
