About Kristyn
Kristyn Hansen is the COO and Vice President of a nonprofit organization dedicated to building tiny home communities for homeless veterans. She began her nonprofit career in 2019 by helping build one organization and then co-founded another in 2021 in Copperas Cove, Texas, where she continues to serve. Hansen holds a Regents diploma and has pursued studies in dance, medical coding, and business through online college classes. She is a certified mental health awareness instructor who teaches others to serve as ambassadors for mental health awareness. Her professional path also includes experience as a finance manager in the car industry and as a trade show manager, skills that honed her networking abilities. Hansen's work centers on securing resources, homes, and support services to help veterans with PTSD transition back to civilian life, and she takes particular pride in obtaining pro bono legal support for her organization.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never give up, never quit. If you fail, just learn from your mistakes and incorporate that into your game next time. No one's gonna nail it the first time. Just keep trying.
