About Kritika
Kritika Gupta serves as a Finance Expert in New Jersey, where she has been active in the freelance finance expert space since 2024. In this role she merges her prior experience as an accountant and in FP&A in India with emerging AI technologies. Her work centers on evaluating AI outputs, improving financial workflows, and developing AI solutions tailored for accounting and finance users. She earned her Bachelor's in Commerce from the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants in late 2016. She is an Indian CA finalist, an Indian Company Secretary finalist, and is currently pursuing her US CPA while managing multiple contract positions. Kritika maintains professional connections through LinkedIn groups focused on women in finance.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would go to my mom and my husband. They are just rocking my life. I was depressed for a while but they have really supported me, and they believed in me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Keep investing in yourself, keep on growing your skills, and never waste your time or knowledge. Sometimes your growth is happening quietly before the world gets to see.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never underestimate yourself, and do not wait for someone else to validate your potential. Just be such strong expertise in your field, stay curious and confident that you can pursue anything challenging. Don't even hesitate to take new opportunities and keep on moving forward.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The integration of finance and AI is a big opportunity. The biggest challenge is that AI is implemented responsibly because finance is built on trust and technology cannot replace human judgment. Human expertise is needed in AI learning today.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Be honest, integrity is the foundation. In finance, trust and accuracy are most important. Being accountable, resilience, and empathy. Continuous learning.
