I attribute my success to taking chances and having faith in myself. I have always been willing to put myself out there, ask questions, and pursue opportunities even when they seemed uncertain.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received was to get my foot in the door through contracted or part-time opportunities and to be proactive about getting involved. This guidance, from my mentor Cheryl, taught me the value of initiative and engagement in shaping my career path.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women to network intentionally, never be shy, ask questions, and actively seek out hands-on experiences wherever they go. Building strong relationships and staying curious are essential for growth and opportunity in this field.

Faith, community service, supporting other women, passion, and initiative are central to both my professional and personal life. These values guide the way I approach placemaking, mentorship, and community engagement.
