Her Story
About Krystal D
Krystal D. Brown is a higher education professional, motivational speaker, and wellness coach with more than 15 years of experience in admissions leadership and student engagement. She currently serves in a senior admissions leadership role with Ogle Schools, where she has spent over a decade helping prospective students identify educational opportunities, navigate important life decisions, and pursue meaningful career paths. Known for her strong customer service background and people-centered approach, Brown has built a reputation for creating supportive, empowering experiences for students from diverse backgrounds. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Brown earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Performance from the University of Maryland, College Park. She credits her theatre training with developing the confidence, communication skills, and stage presence that have become central to her success in sales, leadership, public speaking, and coaching. Prior to her current role, she gained valuable experience in retail and customer relations, further strengthening her ability to connect with people and guide them through transformative transitions. In addition to her work in higher education, Brown is the founder of Journey to Freedom Wellness, a coaching practice launched in 2025 to support individuals seeking healing, personal growth, and renewed purpose. Her transition into wellness coaching was inspired by years of supporting students through challenges that extended far beyond enrollment, including domestic violence, narcissistic relationships, and mental health struggles. She is currently completing her life coaching certification through the WILD program with the goal of earning her ICF credential. A member of the House of Brand community founded by Brand Strategist Rod Brinson in Atlanta, Brown is also an advocate for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and breast cancer awareness. Guided by her faith and family, she is passionate about helping others rise above adversity and reach new heights in their personal and professional journeys.
