Krystle Alexander

Krystle Alexander serves as a police officer in the homicide unit in Newport News, Virginia, and as a polygraph examiner for her department, conducting both preemployment and criminal examinations. She became a police officer after earning her bachelor's degree in criminal justice, motivated by an interest in psychology, and progressed from property crimes investigations to her current role in homicide, where she has served for about three years. Alexander holds a master's degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, which she completed in 2017, and is currently pursuing a second master's degree in counseling. She has been licensed as a polygraph examiner since 2022 and is crisis intervention trained. In addition to her law enforcement career, Alexander has been a member of her department's Honor Guard for over 10 years and serves in the Navy Reserves in the intelligence community for approximately 11 years. Her professional interests center on human behavior, investigation, and mental health support within the law enforcement, fire, and military communities.
