Kyla Gay Schmeckpeper

Kyla Gay Schmeckpeper is an accomplished Accounts Payable and Project Accountant with extensive experience across the construction, healthcare, entertainment, and utility sectors. A graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Kyla combines a strong foundation in cost accounting with hands-on expertise in project accounting. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail, financial accuracy, and ability to streamline accounting processes across complex, multi-faceted projects.

Over the course of her career, Kyla has held key accounting and project coordination roles at leading organizations, including Huffman Construction, Rise Residential LLC, Cadence McShane Construction Company, TPN Holdings, LLC, and Balfour Beatty US. Her responsibilities have included managing accounts payable, vendor relations, ACH payments, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting project teams with billing and expense tracking. She is Procore Certified as a Procore Administrator, demonstrating her proficiency in leveraging technology to enhance financial operations. Currently, Kyla works part-time while navigating a transitional household situation, as her roommate—who contributed to household rent—is moving, highlighting her adaptability in both professional and personal spheres.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kyla is actively engaged in community service. She serves as a charter member of the Quilts of Valor Foundation in Carrollton, Texas, supporting military service members and their service animals through handcrafted quilts. Known for her collaborative spirit and dedication to excellence, Kyla brings both financial expertise and a people-centered approach to every project she undertakes, making her a valued partner to teams and clients alike.
