Ten minutes with Kyla
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith and my sons, who keep me grounded and motivated. Through prayer, devotion, and spiritual fasting, I stay centered while navigating professional demands and personal challenges. I strive to lead by example, showing my boys the importance of faith, resilience, and moving forward through adversity.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay grounded in my faith, remain resilient through challenges, and keep moving forward. I’ve learned to prioritize what matters most, invest in relationships that are reciprocal, and lead by example—both in my career and as a mother. My experiences have taught me that adversity can be an opportunity for growth, healing, and becoming stronger.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to recognize that we are natural problem-solvers and innovators. Focus on solving real problems and creating value for others, knowing there is room for everyone to succeed. Embrace your unique experiences, recognize your strengths, and have confidence in who you are and what you bring to the table.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see a major opportunity in helping experienced professionals monetize their skills and create additional income streams. My immediate focus is launching my project management platform and expanding its impact. I’m also committed to building financial independence, creating a lasting legacy for my children, and continuing to support the growth of women in project and program management.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are purpose, empowerment, innovation, and integrity. I believe in creating opportunities that allow people to use their expertise, grow professionally, and achieve greater financial independence. I also value service and making a meaningful impact by building solutions that address real needs and create opportunities for others.
