Ten minutes with Kyli
01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
As an immigrant from Bangkok, Thailand, I would advise young women entering my industry, especially aspiring entrepreneurs, to embrace their lived experiences and use them as strengths with confidence. I draw my independence from my mother, a widow who raised four children on her own, which has deeply shaped my resilience and outlook. As an Asian woman in management, stepping into leadership taught me to recognize my own value, trust my voice, and lead with both empathy and strength. Working in the male-dominated fintech industry, I have faced setbacks such as failed contracts and missed opportunities, but those experiences only elevated my determination. Today, I am grateful to be in a space where I am seen, respected, trusted, and empowered to lead without being second-guessed.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my role right now is managing the demands of being a team of one and wearing many hats, which can sometimes leave me spread thin across multiple priorities and locations. For example, I may be managing events in New York and then quickly transition back to support my daily operations in San Francisco, which requires some travel and constant coordination. This makes time management and prioritization essential to ensure everything is executed efficiently and on schedule. At the same time, it presents an opportunity to strengthen my organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
