Kylie Miner is a software developer, business application consultant, and founder of RightCross, where she combines technology and equine expertise to develop innovative AQHA breeding software. Her work focuses on using genetic testing, performance records, and modern technology to support more informed horse breeding and matchmaking. With a background spanning Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, functional consulting, training, and change management, Kylie brings a people- and process-focused approach to technology and organizational improvement.

Throughout her career, Kylie has worked across a wide range of industries and organizations, supporting projects involving everything from small teams to more than 5,000 users. She has served as a Functional Consultant, Training Consultant, Tech Lead, Lead Trainer, Associate Developer, and Change Management Consultant, helping organizations adopt new technologies and improve business processes. As a Microsoft Certified Educator and Dynamics enthusiast, she specializes in translating complex systems into practical, user-focused learning experiences while supporting successful implementation and long-term adoption.

Kylie’s professional interests also extend deeply into the equine community. Based in Gregory, South Dakota, she has combined her technology career with equine breeding and services through Miner Ranch, which offers farrier and training services, equine-facilitated learning, workshops, and special events. She also holds an equine-facilitated learning certification and, alongside her husband, operates Horses Heal Hearts, continuing the equine-focused work inspired by her late mother. Through her diverse work in technology, education, consulting, and the equine community, Kylie strives to create meaningful solutions and make a positive impact on organizations, communities, and the world.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my mother, who raised me as a single mom and taught me the importance of determination, independence, and perseverance. She showed me how to identify what I truly wanted and pursue it with confidence and commitment. Her example continues to inspire me to stay focused, overcome challenges, and never give up on my goals.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to ask questions and introduce yourself. Being curious and building connections can create valuable opportunities.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is simple: show up, be confident, and never apologize for taking up space. Your voice and presence matter.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are integrity, dedication, discipline, and accountability. I believe these principles guide how I work, lead, and approach life.
