Kylie Peterson is a Healthcare Consultant specializing in Life Science Compliance and Ethics at Baker Tilly US. She leverages her background in biomedical engineering and cross-sector leadership to support healthcare innovation and deliver community-focused solutions. In her role, Kylie collaborates with clients to implement strategic initiatives, conduct audits and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, combining technical expertise with business insight to address complex challenges.

Kylie earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University, with a minor in Business and a certificate in Cross-Sector Leadership. During her academic career, she served as an undergraduate teaching assistant, instructional aide, and section leader, mentoring students and facilitating learning in engineering courses. These experiences strengthened her leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while reflecting her commitment to empowering others and fostering growth.

Beyond her consulting work, Kylie is passionate about STEM education and community engagement. She has served as a STEM camp counselor and led initiatives with Tikkun Olam Makers to design biomedical devices for individuals with disabilities. 01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the support and guidance of my parents, combined with my own personal drive and determination.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to stay true to themselves and their values, trusting their instincts while pursuing their goals with confidence and resilience.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating the unique obstacles that come with being a woman in STEM. At the same time, there’s a tremendous opportunity to collaborate with and support other women in the field, fostering a community of mentorship, innovation, and shared success.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are transparency, humility, and integrity. I strive to approach every situation with honesty, remain grounded regardless of success, and uphold strong ethical standards in all that I do.
