Ten minutes with Lacy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I love people, I love taking care of people. I remember when my dad was in the hospital, and seeing these nurses, and not knowing what's going on, and I just feel like it's important for us to help educate our patients on a level where they understand. It's just something that's always been in me, I've always wanted to help and be a helper, that's just my personality.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Finding your why, knowing your why, and having a little grit. You have to have a good work ethic, and if you find something that you don't know the answer to, you have to dig in and figure out yourself. Working hard. You can still do it non-traditionally, go to community colleges, start as an LPN if that's all you can do, just to get your foot in the door and get the experience and work hard.
