Her Story
About Ladan
I've been working in program management and sales operations for over 20 years, and I've learned as I go with a combination of formal education and intuition. I have an MBA in Marketing and Business, and I'm very good at relationships, which makes it much easier when working with different people and accommodating their objectives. Throughout my career, I've done extensive sales operations work and have always stayed on top of what's going on in the market, including leveraging AI and automation. I've been both a mentor and a mentee - I've had mentors throughout my professional career, and I've also been mentoring other people, guiding them from all my experience. I even taught courses at Santa Cruz Extension in California, instructing in program management and social media. What sets me apart is my ability to work in ambiguity - I don't need too much background or hand-holding. You can explain the business need, and I can make it happen. I'm really finding nowadays that I value myself more because as I transition my work to someone, I see all the questions coming up, and I realize nobody even had to teach me what to do. It was a brand new project that I started, and we all didn't know what was needed, but I made it happen as easily as possible for everyone. Beyond my professional work, I also have a hobby of doing personal work like numerology and intuition work, enhancing those skills. I'm always learning, always updating myself with the market, and always on top of things.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my ability to make things happen in any ambiguity. You can throw me into the water and I know how to swim - I don't need too much hand-holding or background explanation. If you just explain the business need, I can make it happen. I'm really finding nowadays that I value myself more because I'm transitioning my work to someone, and I see all the questions that are coming up. Nobody even had to teach me what to do when I started this brand new project - we all didn't know what was needed, but I made it happen as easily as possible for everyone. That's where I see my success. I also think my strong relationship skills and intuition play a huge role. I'm very good at relationships and have a good vision of how to work with different people and accommodate their objectives, which makes everything much easier.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage her, even though she hasn't been out there. What she's doing, running the house, is kind of the same capabilities that you have, and you can also implement it in any job. Of course, with the tools and training, but the main thing is really not to put yourself down, thinking 'I haven't been working for a long time, I wasn't in the market because I was raising a family.' If you have done that, you can absolutely jump into any job. Don't underestimate the skills you've developed.
