What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work and a willingness to keep trying new things. I am also deeply committed to ensuring that teachers have the resources they need to fulfill their calling and make a meaningful impact. But more importantly, every person who has invested in me, every opportunity I’ve been given, and every role I’ve held has shaped the educator I am today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
"Students don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." - John. C Maxwell. It's all about relationship.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this industry to be confident in their vision and resourceful in their approach. If you can’t find the tools you need to succeed, create your own. Trust your voice, remain resilient in the face of challenges, and don’t be afraid to innovate, ask for help, lead, and shape opportunities that align with your purpose and values. Amelia Earhart said: "Some of us have great runways already built for us. If you have one, take off! But if you don't have one, realize it is your responsibility to grab a shovel and build one for yourself and for those who will follow after you". Find ways to overcome obstacles and create opportunities, not just for yourself, but for future generations.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field is ensuring that educators have the resources, support, and tools needed to fully fulfill their calling and make a meaningful difference in students’ lives. When professionals are adequately equipped, they are better able to innovate, connect, and create impactful learning experiences that foster student growth, equity, and long-term success.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my work and personal life, I am guided by integrity, passion, accountability, and a commitment to continuous growth. I lead with purpose and enthusiasm, striving to be the example I want my students to follow by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a strong work ethic in every interaction. I believe in modeling lifelong learning, ethical decision-making, and respect for others, creating an environment that inspires trust, motivation, and excellence.
