Dr. Lai (Jennifer) Jiang is a seasoned data scientist and academic with a strong foundation in data analytics, economics, and applied research. After earning her Ph.D. in Economics from New York University’s Stern School of Business, Dr. Jiang began a dynamic career that has spanned academia, corporate analytics, and leadership in data-driven decision-making. She spent several years as an Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia, where she conducted research and published in respected journals, including the International Journal of Industrial Organization. Her work explored the intersection of consumer behavior, regulation, and market structure, earning recognition for its innovative modeling of telecommunications markets.

Transitioning from academia to industry, Dr. Jiang brought her analytical expertise to Curacao as a Marketing Analyst before joining UC Irvine as a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher, where she continued bridging theory and practice through teaching and applied research. Most recently, she served as a Senior Data Scientist at Apple, where she contributed to complex data initiatives and strategic insights that supported product and organizational growth. Currently taking a professional break to pursue studies in Psychology, Dr. Jiang continues to embody a lifelong commitment to learning and interdisciplinary growth.
