About Laila
I'm currently a sophomore at Florida State University, where I'm majoring in Finance and Management Information Systems. My career aspirations are focused on wealth management and investment banking. I'm particularly passionate about learning how to connect technology with finance, and I hope to apply my knowledge to solve problems in the future and help other people guide their financial issues. My typical day involves attending classes from 9 to 2, then coming home to do work and repeat the process. I'm actively involved in campus life through the Finance Club and the Alpha Club, where I enjoy helping out during events, attending meetings, and networking with people. I believe there's so much to learn from other people, and vice versa, and I see building connections as essential because you never know what those relationships could lead to in the future.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to just put yourself out there. No matter what happens, always try. Even if you don't receive back what you wanted, keep driving. This advice has really shaped how I approach opportunities and challenges, reminding me that persistence and effort matter more than immediate results.
