Her Story

About Lainey

I work as a Senior Strategic Account Executive with the most prestigious, most sought-after accounts in the world when it comes to captivating their customers. That's in a lot of different ways, whether they're using data to interact with their customers more effectively, or communications such as SMS or voice. We're now exploring the world of AI and having agentic conversations with customers, making sure that customers don't feel like they're thrown into a pool but are more interacted with on a personalized level, which is going to be really challenging in the New Age. A lot of what I do is working closely with customers to make sure they have the right data to have the right conversations to ultimately create lifelong customers. My entire profession has been working closely with my champions across all different types of businesses to help empower them to make really strong business decisions, help them get promoted, help them get recognized, and help them feel good about the work that they're doing across the organization. I've been in this field since 2013, and I love my job.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Do your best to tune out the noise in whatever capacity you're capable of doing that. For me, it was finding yoga, it was finding a mentor, it was being hell-bent on creating a lifestyle and a family that I wanted to have. Whatever you can do to tune out the noise, tune out any political noise inside your organization, tune out the noise of AI and the world is going to change and you're not going to have a career. Tune out all of that, and just put your blinders on, and hustle, and create the life that you want to create by surrounding yourself with smart, wonderful mentors, and just focusing on what you can control, because if you focus on things that are out of your control, you're ultimately going to be set up for a long road of disappointment. Focus on what you can control, tune out the noise, and full speed ahead. Just don't hold back.
