Her Interview
Ten minutes with LaKeena
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success definitely to my faith in my family and to people. I believe just pretty much how you treat people, the impact you make. I do have a servant's heart and so being able to help people is what keeps me going. How can I lead this world and people better than I found them.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would give the advice that you don't have to follow a straight line. It is an industry that has different avenues whether you are behind the chair, whether you're choosing a leadership role, whether you are wanting to be more of a platform artist. At first I thought success meant having everything mapped out but over time I'm realizing that every season has a purpose and the preparation often looks different than we expect. There's always room for growth.
