Her Story

About Lakeisha

My journey in beauty started at age 13 when I traveled to Fort Myers,FL for my traveling babysitting job , which open the opportunity to provide natural hairstyles for my little cousins. What began as a hobby in junior high, doing my classmates and grandmother's elderly friends' hair . Embracing their beauty and accelerating their confidence became my calling. I graduated high school a year early in 2009 and initially pursued medical assistance at my local community college, but realized I wanted to focus on pursuing my cosmetology career. In 2014, I moved to Arizona with my high school sweetheart, now my husband, ready for a new start. I built a strong exclusive mobile clientele throughout the Valley, filling a gap for natural hairstylists and discovering that residents lacked resources on how to properly care for their hair and skin in harsh desert conditions. I became a distributor and service provider , selling hair extensions, eyelashes, beauty and wellness products that I recommended. In 2018, my life changed completely when my grandfather passed away from cancer, and my grandmother passed the following year . Their battles inspired me to focus deeply on wellness education and being inspired to find clean beauty products. After becoming a mother in 2019, I realized I didn't want to just be a consumer but a producer. I stepped back from behind the chair to gain education and knowledge in business and entrepreneurship . As of 2026, I've built an amazing app that will give people access to curated luxury upscale products that are safe and clean for families and households. Our goal is to becoming one of the nations largest distributors for major retail supplier's in the beauty and wellness industry.

Ten minutes with Lakeisha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I contributed my success to my daughters Isabella and Ishaya who’s a great attribute to my personal growth and success . Becoming a parent is the greatest gift of life to experience . Challenges are going to come, as long as you set a goal, have a plan, and the discipline to achieve them. My most memorable achievement was partnering with my local hair salon and charity organization to provide hair services to children being prepared to meet potential foster parent’s.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never stop learning. Always be willing to grow, and never get too comfortable. Always be willing to connect with other professionals , mentors and environments that align with your morals and standards.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I would give to the women in my industry is that beauty doesn't just start on the outside, but it starts from within. So, if you're taking care of yourself from within, you will shine on the outside. But also, never just get comfortable with providing a service, always have you a source of retail, of sale, as well.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field is the lack of community for minority-owned owners to know what products are available to them, or what resources are available. There are resources and community available, but there are just so many that it could be overwhelming. I feel like having one community that hosts a hub for those resources is what's needed.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are having a pure heart, more of a humanity heart. I don't think everyone should think the same - I think that's bizarre. I think people should have a more open concept. For me, it's passion, understanding, love, and sensibility.
