Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience, faith, perseverance, and the strong foundation created by the women who helped shape my life. I was raised by an incredibly hardworking mother who became a parent at a young age, and witnessing her sacrifices taught me the value of determination, responsibility, and pushing forward even during difficult seasons. Her strength inspired me not only to pursue success for myself, but to build a legacy that would create opportunities, healing, and impact for others as well.

I have also been deeply influenced by the love, wisdom, and support of the powerful women in my family — especially my mother, grandmothers, and aunts — who became my village throughout life’s challenges and transitions. Their encouragement helped develop my confidence, compassion, and commitment to serving others.

My journey has not been without adversity. As a stroke survivor, entrepreneur, author, and nonprofit founder, I have experienced seasons that required me to rebuild, rediscover myself, and continue moving forward despite obstacles. Those experiences strengthened my purpose and taught me that success is not simply about achievement — it is about resilience, growth, and using your story to empower others.

Today, I measure success not only by accomplishments, but by the lives I impact, the doors I open for others, and the reminder that even after hardship, healing and transformation are still possible.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay connected to your purpose and never forget your “why.” Success means very little if you lose yourself trying to achieve it. I’ve learned that staying grounded, leading with integrity, and remembering the sacrifices and lessons of those who helped shape you will carry you further than titles or recognition ever could.

I believe true success is not measured only by accomplishments, but by the impact you make, the people you uplift, and the legacy you leave behind.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to any woman entering this industry — or any field where she feels called to lead — is to stop shrinking yourself to make others comfortable. Walk confidently in your purpose, invest in yourself, and understand that your voice, story, and vision have value. There will be moments when people underestimate you, overlook you, or question your ability to succeed, but consistency, preparation, resilience, and authenticity will always speak louder than doubt.

I would also encourage women to build with integrity and never lose the heart behind what they do. Success is important, but true impact comes from using your platform to uplift others, create opportunities, and leave spaces better than you found them. Your journey may not always be easy, but your experiences — even the difficult ones — can become the very thing that empowers someone else to keep going.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in this field is that many individuals seeking support are often met with systems and environments that feel overwhelming, impersonal, or rooted in survival rather than restoration. Too many women facing trauma, hardship, grief, or crisis still struggle to access services in spaces that preserve their dignity, make them feel valued, and truly support their emotional and long-term well-being.

At the same time, I believe this creates an incredible opportunity to reimagine what support services can look like. There is a growing need for holistic, healing-centered approaches that combine practical assistance with mental wellness resources, empowerment programs, education, community connection, and safe spaces designed to help women rebuild with confidence. My vision is to help create environments where women are not just assisted temporarily, but genuinely empowered to heal, rise, and thrive long term.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my personal and professional life are consistency, humility, and integrity. I believe people deserve honesty, reliability, and genuine care — especially those who are already navigating difficult seasons of life. When working with women who have experienced trauma, hardship, or disappointment, it’s important to me that my actions align with my words. Consistency builds trust, integrity builds credibility, and humility keeps me grounded in purpose rather than ego.

No matter how many different roles I carry as an author, speaker, entrepreneur, performer, nonprofit founder, or mentor, everything I do is connected to empowering people to recognize their potential and move toward purpose. I often call myself a “Purpose Pusher” because I genuinely believe many people already carry gifts, vision, and purpose inside of them — they just need encouragement, guidance, and someone willing to remind them that their dreams are still possible.
