About Laneta

Laneta Spivey is an educator with more than two decades of experience who founded an online tutoring business nearly two years ago. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1997 and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Texas Western University in 2021. Spivey is currently in the second year of her doctoral program in educational leadership at Liberty University while holding certifications as a reading specialist and pursuing certification as a dyslexia academic language therapist. Her work focuses on providing one-on-one support to students, particularly in reading, to build confidence and academic growth. Spivey is a member of Leadership Fort Worth and volunteers with the nonprofits CHAMPS and Braver in Fort Worth, Texas. Outside her professional commitments, she enjoys reading mystery thrillers by authors such as James Patterson.
