Her Story

About Larissa

Larissa Tudor serves as Junior Corporate Account Manager at her company, a role she has held for one year. With a little over 10 years in the mortgage credit field, she began in customer success and customer service roles before advancing to the product and account setup team, serving as transition coordinator to support clients on a new platform, and managing the broker support team in client success for two years. She is FCRA certified and maintains her certification through periodic testing. Outside of her professional training, she attended cosmetology school before pursuing on-the-job training in her current industry. Larissa is a member of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association and participates on committees within the group. Through the association, she supports initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity. She attributes her professional success to her drive to demonstrate to her young daughters that they can achieve anything, aspiring to be an independent role model for them. Her values center on reliability, honesty, empathy, and maintaining an open perspective. She advises others, particularly young women entering the field, to persist and not accept no as a final answer, drawing from her own experience of overcoming self-doubt with guidance from a previous supervisor.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Larissa

01What do you attribute your success to?

My drive to want my young little girls to be able to see that they can do anything that they want. I would love to have my little girls look up and see, hey, my mom did it. I'm very independent. I would like to be their role model.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Stop being your own worst enemy. Stop getting in your own way. Doors will open for you if you potentially were the one keeping doors closed. From a previous supervisor.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't take no for the final answer. Keep going. Keep pushing. You know, where there's a will, there's a way. No is not the final answer.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Pricing can be a "challenge" in this field, but that can be in a challenge in any field really. I don't really see things as challenges, I see only opportunities.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Reliability, honesty, and just caring, having a big heart, being empathetic, being able to see others' viewpoints, not being so closed off.
