Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to three things: get excited, don't quit, and surround yourself with good people. I truly believe that being grateful for what you have and considering yourself a happy person is what moves me the most. My favorite quote is by a Russian writer who said, if you want to be happy, be happy. Stuff happens in life to anybody, it just depends on how you look at it. You can consider challenges as failures, or you can consider them as lessons and move in different directions. That's what keeps me going.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received came from Dr. Manos Kraf, who taught me that if you want to keep your brain going and stay sharp, you have to go through challenges. You can't just keep things the same way, you have to change. He told me that if you're a very organized person, change your desk, put the phone from the left side to the right side. This way, your brain will start looking for it and start working. Every time you go through some challenges, you're moving forward. He also emphasized getting excited, not quitting, and surrounding yourself with good people. I truly believe he helped me become who I am now.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

First of all, be true to yourself. Find what you like, don't look at others, because your success belongs to you. It's not about what others achieve, how much money they make, or how much stuff they have. Success is about finding yourself, finding your happiness inside you, and that will probably go a long way. Don't strive for perfection, but bring something in you that makes you shine. It's something that kind of shines inside that makes people want to follow you. Just be yourself, that's what attracts people.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There's a lot going on with insurance, and it's not getting better in my opinion, but who knows? It's always changing, which is interesting to find out new stuff and challenges that we go through. The constant changes in healthcare and insurance create both challenges and opportunities to learn and adapt.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My priority and favorite thing is a quote by a Russian writer who said, if you want to be happy, be happy. I truly believe that being grateful for what you have and considering yourself a happy person is what moves me the most. Life happens to anybody, and it depends on how you look at it. You can consider challenges as failures, or you can consider them as lessons and move in different directions. I also believe in being kind and nice to people. You don't have to be famous or rich to make people happy or move them. There are other ways to impact others positively.
