About LaShanda
LaShanda Elliott is a gospel songwriter and recording artist who also serves as a praise and worship leader, saxophone musician, and administrator for her local church. She began singing in her early teenage years and developed her saxophone skills through high school marching band and concert band, where she continues to play during off-seasons and now performs regularly at church. Her work in ministry, which she describes as a lifestyle, focuses on using song, saxophone, and personal testimony to encourage others, win souls for Christ, uplift those who may have backslidden, and spread the gospel. A recent song release was inspired during an altar call at her church. She is pursuing a goal of connecting with the right publisher as ordained by God for her music.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Seek and follow what God has placed on your heart to do. Always seek and pray and ask God to show you, and follow that, no matter what the odds are, no matter what somebody else thinks, or what they say. Do what's best for you. I've seen a lot of people who got the money but they're unhappy because they're doing something for money and not from their passion of their heart.
