Her Story
About LaShannon
LaShannon Williams is an Account Manager at Arrivia, where she helps military families, veterans, reservists, and their qualifying relatives access discounted travel through the Government Vacation Rewards program. In this role, she guides clients through booking cruises, resort stays, and all-inclusive vacation packages, frequently helping them upgrade to Select Access membership to maximize their savings. She approaches her work with an emphasis on honest, relationship-driven service, often remaining a client's point of contact well after their trip is booked.
Williams brings roughly a decade of sales experience to her current position. Her career began at AT&T, where she handled phone-based sales and once closed a deal supplying 140 phones to a military base. From there, she moved into home-improvement sales, working with companies such as Networx and Champion Windows & Home Exteriors, where she sold leads to contractors and later took a more hands-on, face-to-face role helping homeowners with renovation projects. She also spent time at ADT in sales and service, and briefly worked as a claims specialist at Lincoln Financial. Originally from Oklahoma, she relocated to Georgia and has cited her mother's military service as a lasting source of personal motivation.
Beyond her sales career, Williams is an accomplished vocalist who was signed to Fox 20th Century Films and Disney, and she recorded vocals for the Disney-produced television show Star, working alongside artists Queen Latifah and Brandy during studio sessions in Atlanta. Her achievements have also been recognized by Influential Women magazine, which selected her for a feature. Williams has expressed a growing interest in charitable involvement, looking ahead to opportunities to give back beyond her professional work.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with LaShannon
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to genuinely enjoying what I do. I got my start selling for AT&T, and early on I was told I had a natural talent for sales — that encouragement pushed me to keep going.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I'd tell them that their time is their own. It's never too late to pursue what you want. My advice is to stay focused on your own goals and vision for your life, rather than measuring yourself against what everyone else is doing.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity matters most to me, both professionally and personally. I'm committed to serving military families with honesty, and I care deeply about giving back. Music is also a big part of who I am — I love to sing, and I was proud to contribute vocals to a Disney-produced project.
