Her Story
About LaSondra
I started my career in supply chain almost 30 years ago as a seasonal hourly worker at Williams-Sonoma when I was just 18 years old. Within two years of working in the warehouse, I was promoted to Team Lead, specifically as a Returns Team Lead, and that's what really sparked my drive for leadership. That early promotion inspired me to go back to school to pursue my degree in Business Management, and I later earned my MBA in Operations Management with a concentration in Healthcare Management. One of my most notable achievements was during my time at Farmadium, where I received two promotions within my tenure with the company - advancing from Production Supervisor to Inventory Supervisor, and then to Inventory and Receiving Manager. Today, I work in the healthcare sector supply chain as an Inbound Department Manager for a 3PL operation. I manage two shifts, and we receive medical devices and new inbound materials on behalf of our clients from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. I'm a service leader at heart - I've always been focused on providing service to whatever client, customer, or end customer we're distributing to.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was from one of my office managers who told me to always start my new week fresh. If there are any tasks that need work to complete from the prior week, make sure you get it done before the weekend so your Monday mornings are solid and fresh. I carry that with me, so I always try to make sure I end the week with everything completed and go into my new week with new tasks to create for that week.
