Lasya Sistla

I am currently a programmer at Permabond Book, where I joined right after my post-graduation. I completed my master's in computer science from UIS, and I've always loved coding ever since COVID. Throughout my career, I've mostly worked in automotive, and I've also worked as a software engineer and AI engineer, completing a few fellowships in the artificial intelligence field. There's also been a bit of product management here and there. My main area of expertise today is definitely AI. Currently, I manage a legacy system which I modernize, and sometimes I work with data. A typical day in my role looks like coming to the office, checking my emails, checking the status of the production which I've done the previous day, learning about any issues with the data or with any printing issues, prioritizing them, and making a small sprint for myself to work along with them. My most notable professional achievement would definitely be the Launchpad AI Fellowship Program, which I've done. It was the first time I ever got into this field, and the team was global. Being able to build something really awesome with people around the world and learning each other's point of view opened my eyes to AI and the computer science world a lot, and that's what made my personality for who I am today.
