What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, decades of experience in brand strategy and marketing communications, persistence as an entrepreneur, and my commitment to building communities that empower women.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry: don’t assume it’s too late to start—be intentional about your purpose, seek out community and collaboration, and be willing to transition and grow into your destiny work.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, one of the biggest opportunities in my field is supporting women in transition—those who are laid off or moving from corporate roles into entrepreneurship. There’s also growing demand for a niche model that combines private-office membership with programming designed to help women build sustainable businesses and strengthen their communities.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I'm a woman of faith who believes that working towards your destiny and purpose here on this earth is where your best life lies, where your wealthy places are. I believe in being a catalyst to help accelerate who we are in our purpose, helping people figure out where their gifts, talents, and abilities are best served, what they're passionate about, and what mark they want to make in the world. Community is essential to success because no man is an island unto himself. We need to be able to network, partner, and collaborate because two heads is always better than one and teamwork makes the dream work. I believe it's never too late to level up, to pursue your dreams, and to be intentional about what you're doing. I think after a certain age, you become more intentional about how you spend your time. I believe in always thinking forward, moving forward, and beginning anew each day, not staying in the past but being grateful for each new opportunity. I also believe in finding the silver lining despite what could be your worst situation, and having a different perspective that allows you to carry on and grow old gracefully.
