Her Story
About LaTanya
I dedicated 20 years to providing in-home care for elderly individuals and children with disabilities. My responsibilities included maintaining clean and safe living environments, transporting clients to medical appointments, administering medications, assisting with homework and speech development, and offering respite support to caregivers. This work was deeply meaningful to me, as it allowed me to directly improve the quality of life for families in need.
After becoming disabled myself, I transitioned into a remote-based career that would allow me to continue serving others while accommodating my health needs. I currently operate an Avon business, where I manage daily order fulfillment, customer service inquiries, social media marketing, and live product demonstrations on TikTok. Through these platforms, I educate customers on personal care, skincare, and beauty products, helping them better understand how to maintain healthy skin and confidently present themselves.
In addition to running my business, I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Campus College and am on track to graduate within the next year. Although I am naturally energetic and thrive in active environments, I have found remote entrepreneurship to be a rewarding way to stay connected with people while maintaining balance. At the core of both my past and present work is a consistent commitment to service—supporting, educating, and empowering others remains central to who I am professionally and personally.
