Her Interview
Ten minutes with Latarya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't chase a paycheck, chase a purpose. When you find your how, your why. You gotta know your why. And your gifts are gonna make room for you, so commit to developing them.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is burnout. When you're passionate about helping others, it can be hard to have healthy boundaries, so practice self-care. Opportunities include the ability to empower others, advocacy, and community impact for long-term success.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity - do the right thing. Compassion. Accountability - take ownership of choices to learn from mistakes. Respect of yourself, time, and others. Honesty - communicating truthfully. Boundaries.
