Her Interview

Ten minutes with Latasha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God. Having faith. He's the one who got me to where I am today. I give all the glory to God because I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. Life is about teaching moments. I learn something new every day.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Take one moment at a time and don't rush into anything.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take your time and pay attention. Because things change every day. Technology changes every day. New tests come out, different diseases come out every day. Just take your time and pay attention, don't rush it. It's just gonna come to you.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The Incidental Lung Nodule Program is fairly new. Hospitals are just starting to do it now. It can be rewarding because you're helping in advance and catching cancers early to save lives, but challenging because people don't know about it and getting them to understand the full meaning.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being honest and holding yourself accountable. People make mistakes sometimes. Just be honest and hold yourself accountable. And once you do those things, it makes the world a better place.
