Her Interview

Ten minutes with Laterina

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success is just a passion for helping people, and doing what you love to do makes it a whole lot easier to do. You don't mind getting up and putting in the extra effort when it's something that you want to do.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be firm, consistent, and fair.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just make sure it's your passion, follow your passion. Do something that you love to do, that way you won't easily get burnt out, or you won't feel like you're just existing and going from day to day.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Not being able to find the clients the right resources. Like, a lot of times, the shelters are full or they don't have availability at the time that they need.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Treating people with respect, how I want to be treated, and meeting people where they're at, not judging circumstances, because you never know what their background is or what they've been through.
