Her Interview
Ten minutes with LaTonya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance and preparedness. As a woman in corporate America, I have learned the importance of resilience and being ready to step into any room with confidence, knowing I have earned my place and can make a meaningful contribution.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to always show up as my authentic self. People recognize when you are not being genuine, so staying true to who you are is essential. I also believe in paying it forward by investing in others the same way others have invested in me.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Make sure that you take advantage of every opportunity you're given, even if those opportunities may be out of the box, outside of where you thought your skills needed to be. The more you know about running the business alongside that finance and accounting degree you have, the better leader you will be.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Women today face the challenge of balancing career advancement with authenticity in environments that often reward conformity. The opportunity is to redefine leadership through purpose, empathy, and influence, creating pathways for others while achieving professional success on their own terms.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
With the right level of resilience, you can always turn nothing into something. You can always find a way to make it better and make an impact on the lives in a positive way of others. The things that divide us are less important than the things that bring us together.
