Her Interview
Ten minutes with Latoya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the people I surround myself with, the cheerleaders who root for you when you don't have the energy to root for yourself, and self-accountability. I hold myself to a high esteem of being the best version of myself and only compare myself to me, because everyone's journey is different and unique.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you feel like you're the smallest person in the room, then you need to find a different room. Surround yourself with people who talk about ideas and development in the future, not people who talk about other people's.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value my time most. Time is something you can't get back, so I try to be very intentional about where I give my time, who I give it to, and what I'm doing with it, including self-care with my dogs, exercising, meditation, and giving back to the community.
