Prior to joining Toyota, LaToya excelled as Transportation Manager at J.B. Hunt Transport Services from 2022 to 2025, where she led complex logistics operations, oversaw team performance, and ensured operational efficiency across multiple functions. She has also held key leadership roles at FedEx Office and FedEx Ground, managing staffing, training, performance evaluation, and day-to-day operational control. Throughout her career, LaToya has consistently demonstrated a commitment to operational excellence, strategic problem-solving, and fostering high-performing, safety-focused teams.

LaToya is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management at Western Governors University, with an expected graduation in January 2026. Committed to lifelong learning, she continually seeks new opportunities to expand her expertise and leadership capabilities. Outside of her professional pursuits, LaToya enjoys cooking, reading, exploring innovative approaches to problem-solving, and finding ways to inspire and mentor others. What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the unwavering support and inspiration from my family. My children are my greatest motivation, driving me to strive for excellence every day, while the guidance and values instilled by my parents and grandparents have shaped my character and work ethic. Their influence continues to inspire me to achieve my goals and make a meaningful impact in both my personal and professional life.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to never be afraid or intimidated to try something new, even if you don’t see others who look like you in that space. Embrace opportunities to bridge gaps, be confident in your abilities, and remain approachable building connections and fostering inclusivity is just as important as developing your skills.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There are so many that don’t look like me or align with my personality and values, my goal is to build my own company that aligns with my values!
