Her Interview
Ten minutes with Laura
01What do you attribute your success to?
My kids are my why. Knowing that if I don't do it, no one will, and I don't want my family to have to step in. Determination to provide for them and be there for them as a single parent.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You don't know until you try, so don't say no to an opportunity just because it doesn't sound like what you're looking for. If it's an opportunity and you're okay with the aspects of it, just take it. You don't know where it's going to lead you. Always take a chance.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Tough market right now. People are being replaced by AI. Remote work as a single parent is challenging with no social life and managing kids' schedules.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being true to yourself and having integrity. Family first - chose to leave military for kids. Be conscientious and honest because you have to live with yourself.
