A results-driven leader, Laura is known for her ability to manage high-risk and complex claims while ensuring payment integrity, regulatory adherence, and operational excellence. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration, pairing deep industry knowledge with a strong business and analytical foundation.
In her current role, Laura oversees specialty claims units including Compliance, Regulatory, Catastrophic, and Medical Only programs. The best career advice I’ve ever received came from leaders and colleagues in the insurance industry who consistently modeled professionalism, discipline, and strong leadership. Their guidance challenged me to continuously refine my technical expertise while developing a thoughtful, people-centered approach to management.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women entering the industry to seek out learning opportunities, stay open to growth, and focus on building a strong foundation of knowledge. Consistency, commitment, and a willingness to keep developing your skills can open doors to leadership roles and long-term success over time.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the field is the increasing complexity of workers’ compensation regulations and constantly evolving compliance standards. At the same time, there is significant opportunity in leadership development, cross-functional expertise, and innovation within claims management—particularly for professionals who are willing to broaden their skill sets and adapt to change.
