Laura Martin
I’m a marketing strategist and operations consultant who helps businesses turn ideas into clear, structured growth. Through Innovational Business Solutions, I partner with entrepreneurs and organizations to simplify the complexity of launching, managing, and growing a business.
My work is centered on building the systems behind the strategy - combining business planning, brand development, digital marketing, and workflow automation to create stronger, more sustainable results. I’m especially passionate about helping businesses move away from scattered efforts and toward clear, repeatable processes that actually support long-term success.
Most recently, I led integrated marketing campaigns across digital, radio, and traditional media for more than 30 clients, while also improving workflows, onboarding systems, and performance tracking.
Beyond my work, I’m deeply committed to community impact and advocacy, including supporting families and children with autism and special needs. At my core, I enjoy bringing structure to complexity, strengthening brands, improving systems, and helping businesses grow with clarity and confidence.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of strategy, adaptability, and the willingness to create my own momentum.
Throughout my career, I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from waiting for the right opportunity - it comes from taking initiative, building structure, and moving forward even when the path isn’t fully clear. I’ve focused on not just developing strong ideas, but creating the systems and processes that allow those ideas to scale and perform over time.
I also believe success comes from having the courage to step into change. Some of the most defining moments in my career came from navigating uncertainty, and those experiences strengthened both my resilience and perspective.
At the core, my success is rooted in being both strategic and willing to take action - because real growth happens when those two things work together.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stop waiting for permission and start creating opportunities for yourself.
Early in my career, it was easy to hesitate; waiting until I felt fully ready or had all the answers. But I’ve learned that growth doesn’t happen in those moments. It happens when you take initiative, trust your perspective, and move forward even when things feel uncertain.
That advice changed how I approach my work. I focus on building with intention, taking ownership, and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them. It’s a mindset that has shaped my career and continues to guide how I lead, make decisions, and help others grow.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t wait until you feel ready - lean into the things that scare you or challenge you.
Marketing is an industry that moves quickly, and it’s easy to feel like you need more experience, more knowledge, or more confidence before you speak up or take action. But the reality is, confidence is built through doing, not waiting.
Focus on understanding how things work - not just the tactics, but the strategy behind them. Learn how systems connect, how decisions are made, and how results are measured. That’s what will set you apart.
And most importantly, trust your voice. You don’t need permission to contribute, to lead, or to challenge ideas. The women who stand out in this industry are the ones who combine strategy with courage - and take action even when it feels uncomfortable.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in marketing right now is that the industry is moving faster than many businesses can adapt. AI, shifting consumer expectations, privacy changes, and evolving search behavior are forcing marketers to rethink not just their tactics, but the entire way they build trust, measure performance, and communicate value. Industry research in 2026 points to AI adoption, measurement transformation, and brand trust as major priorities, while buyers are also becoming more skeptical of generic, AI-heavy content.
At the same time, that creates a major opportunity. The businesses that will stand out are the ones that use technology strategically without losing the human side of their brand. There is a real advantage right now for marketers who can combine strong systems, clear messaging, trustworthy content, and meaningful performance insights instead of chasing every new tool or trend.
I also see a growing opportunity in helping organizations create more connected marketing ecosystems. Too often, strategy, execution, data, and operations still live in separate silos. The professionals who can bring those pieces together and turn complexity into clarity will be the ones creating the most value in this next phase of the industry. That is where I believe some of the most important work is happening right now.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide both my work and personal life are integrity, clarity, and accountability.
I believe in doing what I say I’m going to do and showing up consistently, whether it’s for a client, a team, or my community. Integrity, to me, means being honest about what works, what doesn’t, and making decisions that are aligned with long-term success; not just short-term wins.
Clarity is another core value. I’m naturally drawn to simplifying complexity, whether that’s in business systems or in communication. I believe people do their best work when expectations are clear, processes are structured, and goals are understood.
I also value accountability - taking ownership of outcomes, continuously learning, and always looking for ways to improve.
Outside of work, those same values carry into how I support others and stay involved in my community. I believe success is not just about what you build professionally, but also how you show up for the people around you.
