Meet Laura (Salyards-Fryberger) Mullen, a visionary entrepreneur who helped bring Bent Paddle Brewing Co. to life in the heart of Duluth, Minnesota. As one of the four founding owners, Laura channels her passion for community and creativity into her role as Vice President of Outreach + Marketing. Her dynamic leadership touches every aspect of the brewery's public presence, from crafting compelling marketing strategies to fostering meaningful community connections.

At the helm of the brewery's outreach efforts, Laura orchestrates large-scale events that bring people together, champions sustainability initiatives that protect our environment, and leads charitable programs that make a real difference in the community. Her multifaceted role embodies the spirit of Bent Paddle's commitment to both exceptional brewing and community enrichment.

When she's not shaping the brewery's future, Laura shares her life with fellow Bent Paddle co-founder and owner Colin Mullen. Together, they've created a vibrant home filled with love and energy, anchored by their daughter Adella (born in 2012) and their beloved menagerie of pets: their loyal dog Hilde, Siamese cats Clover & Riley, and their unique family member - a hedgehog named Piper.
