Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations from Louisiana State University, after initially pursuing studies in biology and business. She is also pursuing her Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification to further expand her leadership and project management capabilities.
Laura attributes her success to the support of influential leaders throughout her career and the encouragement of her husband, who inspired her return to the professional workforce after time as a stay-at-home mom. Beyond her professional achievements, she is deeply committed to community service and advocacy. She is a member of the National Charity League and Chi Omega alumnae, and she volunteers with organizations including Experience Camps and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Laura is also the creator of the Hope Beyond Grief Method, a five-week Bible study devotional and online course designed to support individuals navigating grief, inspired by her personal experience following the loss of her sister to brain cancer in 2015. Through her work, leadership, and service, Laura continues to combine strategic marketing expertise with compassion, purpose, and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Ten minutes with Laura
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the people who have supported, encouraged, and believed in me throughout my journey. My husband has been one of my greatest sources of encouragement, especially during my time as a stay-at-home mom, when he helped me rebuild my confidence and reconnect with my identity as a business professional. I am also grateful for the exceptional leaders and mentors who have invested in my growth, challenged me to reach higher, and recognized potential in me that I did not always see in myself. Their guidance, support, and belief in my abilities have played an important role in shaping my career and inspiring me to continue growing as a leader.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to keep writing and documenting my journey. I was also encouraged to identify all of the roles I hold in life, both personally and professionally, define the ultimate outcome I want for each one, and then translate those goals into actionable weekly tasks. This approach has helped me bring greater purpose and intention to everything I do, ensuring that each task aligns with my bigger goals. It has also allowed me to grow as a well-rounded individual by recognizing that my personal and professional lives are interconnected rather than separate.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the marketing industry is to be bold, fearless, and authentic. Do not lose sight of who you are or the unique qualities you bring to the table. Embrace your ability to lead with empathy, creativity, and a genuine understanding of people, as these strengths are powerful assets in building relationships and creating meaningful impact. At the same time, have the confidence to take risks, speak up, advocate for your ideas, and step into opportunities with courage. Authenticity combined with confidence is what allows you to make a lasting difference.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in marketing right now is the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence. AI has the potential to be an incredibly valuable tool, acting as an assistant that can improve efficiency, support creativity, and enhance strategic decision-making. However, the challenge is ensuring that it does not replace the authenticity, critical thinking, and personal voice that make communication meaningful. The most effective marketers will be those who embrace new technology while continuing to develop and rely on their own skills, creativity, and human connection to create genuine and impactful work.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, authenticity, and problem-solving. I believe in addressing challenges directly with honesty, trust, and a commitment to finding solutions. When obstacles arise, I focus on creating a thoughtful plan, learning from setbacks, and using those experiences as opportunities for growth and improvement. Staying true to my values while approaching challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset allows me to build stronger relationships, make better decisions, and continue evolving both personally and professionally.
